DAB: APPLICATION TO TRAVEL INFORMATION SYSTEMS
This paper describes the application of a new high performance data broadcasting system (DAB) to Travel Information Services (TIS). A brief description of DAB is provided first. This includes details about: a) its origin; b) basic principles; c) design; and d) configurability. The methods used for information coding are also presented. The reasons why DAB would be applicable to Travel Information Service provision are also presented. For the covering abstract see IRRD 868006.
