The Report is presented in the following chapters:-- 1. A summary of physical properties, modes of operation, fields of application, limitations and toxicity of the common extinguishing agents. 2. A summary of available fixed fire extinguishing systems. 3. Conclusions on the capability of different fire fighting agents based on systematic extracts from test reports <detailed in an Appendix> and manufacturers' information.
