TIME AVERAGE AERODYNAMIC FORCES AND MOMENTS ON A NOTIONAL MODEL OF A SEMI-SUBMERSIBLE OFFSHORE RIG
PART 1 describes wind-tunnel measurements of the time-average aerodynamic forces and moments on a notional model of a semi-submersible offshore drilling rig at two heights and at various attitudes to the wind. PART 2 attempts to analyse the separate effects of pitch and roll on the model and derives expressions for the wind loading components on the basic model with a plain deck.
