INTERSTATE COMMERCE COMMISSION: BUDGET AND OTHER IMPACTS OF ELIMINATING OR TRANSFERRING FUNCTIONS. TESTIMONY
This is the statement of Barry T. Hill, Associate Director, Transportation Issues, Resources, Community, and Economic Development Division, General Accounting Office, before the Subcommittee on Railroads, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, House of Representatives, on the impacts of eliminating the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) and transferring its functions to other federal agencies. The testimony focuses on the budget impacts of eliminating certain rail and motor carrier regulatory functions and transferring ICC's remaining activities.
