TECHNICAL DIAGNOSIS IN THE SHIPBOARD INFORMATION SYSTEM

The Authors discuss the principles of shipboard information systems intended for automatic and continuous technical diagnosis of ship machinery and equipment. Structural diagrams are given which show the relationship of the various elements of the diagnostic information system and their relationship to other components of automatic control. The information system relies on mini- and micro-computers and visual display units.
