'CARTEL' - A COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR TABULATING ROAD ACCIDENT DATA
Cartel (complete accident record, tabulation language) is a program written mainly in FORTRAN IV to produce road accident tabulations which cannot be provided by the use of the rattle language. It is a method of tabulating stats 19 road accident data from simple input statements submitted to the computer on punched cards. The main statements are similar in function to the rattle select and tabulate statements, but there is an additional select/tabulate statement which enables a select statement to perform a limited tabulation function. Cartel enables counts of accidents to be made with associated casualty or vehicle factors: for example, the details of two or more vehicles and their occupants can be used to select a group of accidents, and then various aspects of these accidents can be tabulated against each other.
