THE TREATMENT OF OFFSHORE STRUCTURES TUBULAR JOINTS IN THE ADEP SYSTEM

The ADEP program system for the design of offshore structures has been introduced by Petrobras. A new specialised procedure for the automatic data generation of finite element meshes for tubular joints has now been added to this system, and is described. This is used in the stress analysis of offshore structural tubular joints. The technique could also be extended to other applications.
