CALCULATION OF GALE FORCES ACTING UPON A CARGO SHIP MOORED AT THE WHARF AT KASTEL SUCURAC (YUGOSLAVIA)

This paper presents a calculation method of wind forces acting upon a cargo ship moored to floating fenders located at the wharf of the cement factory "Partizan" in Kastel Sucurac. The dimensionless values of the curve of the wind speeds and the curve of wind specific pressures are given according to SOLAS 1960. Lateral plane of above water ship hull is shown and tabulated results of the calculations are presented.
