ON THE RESULTS OF SPEED TRIAL ANALYSES OF HOME WATERS SHIPS. COMPARISON BETWEEN THE CONVENTIONAL AND THE ENERGY-SAVING TYPES
Speed trial results of 50 ships built between 1976 and 1981 comprising of cargo ships <499 gross tons>, and oil tankers <699 and 999 gross tons>, showed considerable reduction in the propulsive horse-power of the energy-saving type of ships when compared with the conventional ships.
