THE DESIGN OF MODERN COAL FIRED BOILER PLANT FOR MARINE USE

A brief description and analysis of those parts of the boiler plant which are thought to be the main problem areas are given. The literature review indicates that the main boiler makers throughout the world prefer the travelling grate stoker as the method of choice of firing coal at sea in the early 1980's.
