EFFECT OF SHIP MAIN DIMENSIONS AND PROPERTIES OF HULL MATERIAL ON DEFLECTION, SHEAR FORCE AND BENDING MOMENT
A theoretical study of the influence of a Winkler type of elastic foundation on the deflection of a ship hull is presented. From consideration of approximated functions of load distribution, immersed stations area, waterline area, moments of inertia, etc., solutions for deflection, shear force and bending moment are obtained. Calculated examples are provided to illustrate the application of the method.
