ADA COMPLEMENTARY PARATRANSIT
The term complementary paratransit was born with the Americans with Disabilities Act's (ADA) passage in 1990. According to the law, any public entity providing fixed-route transit service to the general public would have to provide complementary paratransit to people with disabilities. As the mid-point in the ADA's process has been reached, CTR examines emerging data and trends, and details critical issues like eligibility and funding.
