COST ANALYSIS OF THE AIRBORNE PORTION OF THE DISCRETE ADDRESS BEACON SYSTEM INTERMITTENT POSITIVE CONTROL (DABS/IPC) CONCEPT
This report presents the results of the cost and reliability evaluations developed for discrete and LSI versions of the airborne portion of the DABS/IPC concept. To provide a basis for assessing the economic impact of DABS on the various aviation communities, separate cost evaluations have been developed for general aviation, commercial aviation, and the military. This report presents the expected cost of ownership to the individual aircraft owner and the cumulative life-cycle cost to the user communities, based on the developed data.
