TAKING SWANSEA INTO THE NEXT CENTURY
This article is a progress report on plans by Glamorgan County Council and Swansea City Council to improve rail and bus links in South Wales. This includes the Swan Line project which cost #5.7m and provides four new railway stations between Port Talbot and Swansea, and some rail/bus feeder services. Other initiatives are described, including a city centre strategy for Swansea to pedestrianise some areas, and restrict car access in others.
