COMMON TRANSPORT POLICY

This paper traces the history of the EEC transport policy through the main items of legislation and policy documents up to the present time. It discusses the significance of this policy as it has been planned so far, and considers some of its implications for the future, with particular reference to the consultation document the future operation of the goods transport markets in the community. There are some major criticisms of the policy and a number of changes are recommended. (A) /TRRL/
