THROUGH RUNNING SPEARHEADS MODERNISATION

This short article describes the upgrading and modernisation of the metro lines in Oslo, Norway. Brief details are provided of: a) cost; b) alignment; and c) the new cars and stations required. Brief details are also provided of the alterations planned for the pointwork and track alignment, which should increase train speed, and to the signalling. The lines discussed in most detail are: a) the Sognsvann to Bergkrystallen line (line 4); and b) the Skullerud to Klemetsrud line (line 3).
