HISTORY DOESN'T GUARANTEE SUCCESS, PEOPLE DO
With a long history of successful high-profile transportation projects under its belt, Frederic R. Harris, Inc. (FRH) recognizes the necessity of developing staff members. This article profiles FRH and its 4-year-old Young Associates Forum. In phase one of the YAF program, technical professionals gain personalized training in professional and technical aspects of engineering as well as insight into business practices. In the second phase, outstanding associates are accepted into an individual sponsor program in which company vice presidents mentor individuals for a period of 2 years. A discussion of FRH philosophy is included as are remarks on future FRH plans.
