THE APPLICATION OF TRAFFIC ENGINEERING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHWAY SIGNS
This paper is concerned with the development and design of highway signs. The author reviews the history of the development of highway signs then proceeds to look at who is involved with this development. He reports on the training of Traffic Engineers, their personal and employment characteristics and their relationship with other disciplines. Finally, he comments on the procedures of updating the Canadian Manual. /RTAC/
