LUBOTROL--WORLD'S FIRST LUBRICATING OIL SEPARATOR WITH "OWN BRAIN" CONTROLS AND WITHOUT REGULATOR DISC
The LUBOTROL lubricant separator developed by Westfalia Separator AG of Oelde, Germany, is described. It is the first lubricant separator with built-in "own-brain" controls and without the usual regulator disc. The self monitoring enhances the efficiency of the separation process and reduces the daily quantity of sludge-water-oil mixture from the drainage process. The design of the LUBOTROL was also a response to a call for a reduction in after-sales costs. This was to be achieved through an extension of maintenance and repair intervals, better control over initial system adjustments and reduced costs for spare parts.
