THE INFLUENCE OF NR-TYPE RADIAL-FLOW TURBOCHARGERS ON DIESEL ACCELERATION BEHAVIOR
Increasing charge-air pressure on diesel engines can impair transient response, as turbocharger performance lags behind charge- air demand. The author presents an insight into this aspect of state-of-the-art turbocharger development, as represented by the NR series radial flow turbochargers of TCU Turbo Charger GmbH, Augsburg, Germany, a subsidiary of MAN B&W.
