FAILURE MECHANISMS OF WELD-BEADED GROUTED PILE/SLEEVE CONNECTIONS
Observations from a series of push-out tests on grouted pile/sleeve connections with weld-beads are described in detail. The tests were aimed not at quantifying overall connection strength, but rather at identifying the load-transfer and failure mechanisms involved and at obtaining local stress-slip relationships for use in nonlinear modeling of the connections.
