HIGH SPEED SMALL CRAFT
The history of high-speed small craft is first briefly reviewed, followed by a more comprehensive discussion of developments in the field in recent years. Among these developments are catamarans and SWATH vessels, deep-vee monohulls (including Atlantic challengers), the use of new materials for hull construction, and the appearance of new propulsion devices such as waterjets and surface propellers.
