RETURN OF THE "MOSQUITO FLEET"?

Problems of traffic congestion and pollution are causing most cities on the water to be interested in making better use of their waterways and to take a very close look at the existing ferry systems with an eye toward easing the transportation situation cost effectively. Ferry service developments in three cities--New York, San Francisco and Seattle--are reviewed, as being typical of what is occurring in the U.S.
