AERIAL SURVEYED STRING DIGITAL GROUND MODELS
The results are discussed of a successful project in which the most significant error was in the initial preparation of the model. Modifications are also proposed of the storage and retrieval of information. Arising from the analysis of errors, a testing procedure is described which is simple to apply and uses the relevant statistics if mean and variance. The basic theory is set forth and the general results are discussed. Details are given of the data preparation and retrieval. The standard practice recommended in the Technical Memorandum H9/70 is discussed and ammendments to it are suggested. The ammendments to be specifications consist of a testing procedure by which the client may accept of reject the contracted ground model.
