TUNNELING IN ROCK. CHAPTER 9: IN SITU TESTING OF ROCK MASSES
Chapter 9 describes the execution of large-scale field tests to obtain data on a representative sample of rock mass and joint system. It is presented as follows: 1 - strength tests: shear tests, compression tests and punching tests; 2 - deformation tests: plate bearing tests, pressure tunnel tests, pressure meters and dynamic methods; 3 - permeability of the rock mass; 4 - assessment of results; and 5 - conclusions. /TRRL/
