MARINE ENVIRONMENTAL FIRE AND SAFETY TEST FACILITY

The paper describes the background for the development of the Coast Guards Fire and Safety Test Facility at Mobile Alabama. It describes the facility and reports briefly on the first series of shipboard fire tests conducted during the first test session starting 26 May 1970. A brief resume of future testing is given.
