THE BELGIAN'S OPINION IN MATTERS OF ROAD SAFETY
L'OPINION DES BELGES EN MATIERE DE SECURITE ROUTIERE
The sociological section of the Study Fund for Road Safety carries out each year for the Supreme Council of Road Safety a series of public opinion pools. This permanent inquiry programme allows to ask questions at regular intervals about the topics of the day. During the year 1973/1974, 5 polls have been carried out on the following themes: road safety with regard to children, speed limits, road signals and the problem of compulsory wearing of seat belts. In this first part, we will state the methodology used, the repartition of the sample as well as the results of the polls dealing with road safety with respect to children (1) and the speed limits (2).
