OPERATIONAL AND DESIGN PARAMETERS OF OIL RECOVERY VESSELS
A number of different oil recovery vessels have been developed by industry for use in the event of oil spills, but a systematic evaluation of their effectiveness and operability has not yet been carried out. As a step toward that needed evaluation, this paper develops criteria for the effectiveness of oil recovery and for vessel operational readiness.
