PREDICTION OF PERFORMANCE OF INLAND VESSELS INFLUENCED BY SHALLOW WATER
Model test information on sixteen inland vessels at different water depths is analyzed and the variation pattern of the resistance increment of vessels influenced by shallow water is determined. Formulas are developed for calculating minimum water depth without shallow water effects and for calculating speed losses and increments with those effects.
