TAKING STOCK OF ROPE FAILURES
This article begins by presenting some information on wire rope failures. It goes on to discuss a number of developments involving proposed international standards for wire ropes. Lastly, it discusses a series of video tapes on safety that is being produced by Link-Belt Construction Equipment, in the U.S., and tells how the first tape, covering safe crane operation and practice, is now available.
