OBSERVATION OF SHIP MOTIONS IN ROUGH WEATHER CONDITIONS
The results of field observations of ship motions in rough weather are detailed. Four general cargo ships were investigated. They were, respectively, of 2,000 dwt, 6,800 dwt and 48,000 dwt. Some investigations were carried out in wind speeds of more tha 20 m/s. Differences in motion characteristics for the different ships were observed.
