THE HULL FORM AND STABILITY OF AIR CUSHION BARGE
This presentation describes model tests that were carried out at Harbor Shipbuilding Engineering Institute and at Shanghai Shipbuilding Institute to analyze the hull form characteristics and stability of an air cushion barge of 600 tons displacement. Some measures for improving the floating condition and stability of this barge type are suggested. According to the authors, the air cushion barge is suitable for inland low-speed transportation.
