A SUITABLE CASE FOR TREATMENT
During this year's peak importing season for Australian apples and pears one of the UK's largest fruit importers in this trade, the Louis Reece group of companies, will handle at least 6,000 tons of these fruits. A high percentage of this produce will arrive in containers. Article describes the packaging, storage, refrigeration and cargo out-turn which has been greatly improved due to bulk packaging and faster turn around time. Payload per 20 feet container has also been increased from 518 to 580 bushels.
