PREDICTION OF PROPELLER PERFORMANCE IN NONUNIFORM WAKE FIELD
A method for predicting propeller performance in a nonuniform wake field, using simplified lifting-surface theory is described. This approach makes it possible to reasonably select the magnitude and distribution of skew for propeller blades, and to provide essential information on the assessment of cavity geometry on blades in nonuniform flow. Comparisons of calculated results with experimental data show satisfactory agreement.
