R.F.A. ARGUS--THE CONVERSION OF A RO-RO/CONTAINER VESSEL TO AN AVIATION TRAINING SHIP
The conversion of the ro/ro containership CONTENDER BEZANT to an aviation training ship, R.F.A. ARGUS, has presented many interesting challenges. The authors examine significant problems that were raised by the conversion in such areas as layout, accommodation, and classification; intact stability and roll stabilization; damage stability; main hull alterations; and machinery installation.
