SHIP MANOEUVRABILITY ASSESSMENT IN SHIP DESIGN--SIMULATION CONCEPT
The paper describes the development of a range of hydrodynamic and numerical techniques directed at the assessment of ship maneuverability performance in design and simulation. These techniques are synthesized into a maneuvering simulation system that is capable of representing a very wide range of ship types and situations, and provides a more detailed insight into ship behavior in specific operational conditions.
