PORTS LOOKING INTO THE 21ST CENTURY

The theme of the 15th conference of the IAPH was "Ports Looking into the 21st Century." The seven sections of these proceedings of the conference cover: (1) the structure of the IAPH and details regarding the organization of the 15th conference; (2) transcripts of the opening ceremony and two plenary sessions; (3) bills and resolutions adopted at the conference; (4) transcripts of five of the six working sessions that were held; (5) an IAPH financial statement for 1985-86 and the budget for 1987-88; (6) details on conference registration and events; and (7) IAPH personnel 1987- 1989. The working session topics included: port management, port financing, electronic data interchange, port planning and development, competition and cooperation among ports, interaction with port communities, and developments in Korean ports.
