ANALYSIS METHOD FOR SINGLE POINT MOORING, REPORT 2: CHARACTERISTIC OF MOTION AND CONSTRAINT FORCE RESPONSE IN FREQUENCY DOMAIN
In an earlier paper, a mathematical model of multibody systems was derived by means of the constraint matrix and applied to a conventional SALM buoy without a moored tanker. Numerical results were compared with experimental results and the results validated the effectiveness of the mathematical model. This paper carries out further numerical studies for the case where a moored tanker is present, using various single point moorings such as CALM, SALM, SALS and AC systems. Based on the calculation results, the motion and constraint force characteristics in the frequency domain are studied. A model for calculating slowly varying responses to constraint forces is shown for the CALM system.
