THE NACOS 20 INTEGRATED NAVIGATION BRIDGE CONTROL SYSTEM
This paper reviews the conceptual development of Krupp Atlas Elektronik's NACOS 20 Integrated Navigation Bridge Control System and discusses its design and components. NACOS 20 integrates a series of advanced navigational sensors with an autopilot, providing a framework within which total bridge navigational requirements are rationalized by reducing the number of necessary functions and centralizing essential displays. The paper concludes with a discussion of likely future refinements in the NACOS 20 system.
