A REPORT ON EUROPEAN SHIPBUILDING

A summary report on conditions in the European shipbuilding industry is presented. 1987 and early 1988 have, on the whole, seen signs of improvement. These owe to an increase in orders for cruise ships, to the resurgence of Spanish yards, and to the continuing rise of Yugoslavia as a shipbuilding power in the world market.
