DETERMINING THE PERMISSIBLE ELEVATION OF A PASSENGER SHIP'S CENTER OF GRAVITY
In addition to establishing cargo ship stability criteria, the 1981 USSR Registry Rules established two additional criteria for standardizing the initial stability of passenger ships. The specifications set forth in these two criteria are indicated and a mathematical procedure is presented for determining the permissible elevation, under the rules, for a passenger ship's center of gravity.
