FIRE RESISTANCE TESTING OF BULKHEAD AND DECK PENETRATIONS, PHASE 2

This report presents the results of a series of tests that were carried out to obtain information on the passage of flame, smoke, and heat through penetrations in deck assemblies. Testing was performed by Underwriters' Laboratories under the joint direction of the U.S.-and Canadian Coast Guard. The test results demonstrate that ASTM E-814 or UL 1479 should be considered as the fire resistance performance test for approving penetration designs.
