IMPROVEMENT IN THE EFFICIENCY OF THE CONDENSING VAPOR CYCLE IN AUTOMOTIVE POWER SYSTEMS--THE D-CYCLE
Results are described of two phase vapor compression is a motored compressor for water and trifluoroethanol-water mixtures (fluorinol 85). Rate of attainment of temperature and pressure equilibrium between vapor and liquid at constant volume were measured. Ways of applying the cycle are described which are directed towards lowering the ratio of work of compression to work of expansion. A power systems suitable for a vehicle is described. /GMRL/
