LA SECURITE ROUTIERE, NOUVELLES DIRECTIVES D'ACTION
After giving a brief outline of the general direction of road safety policy, the authors review the different operations which are parts of the annual safety programmes; particular mention is made of: specific safety operations in rural areas, in urban areas, integrated safety operations (construction of new motorways, of new roads with separate carriageways, etc.). A table shows the accident rate and fatality rate for 108 vehicle/kilometer on main roads and motorways in France. Another table gives data on accident rates in Paris. /TRRL/
