CONSIDERATIONS ON AND CALCULATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF RESIDUAL STRESSES ON THE BUCKLING OF WELDED BARS
CONSIDERAREA IN CALCUL A INFLUENTEI TENSIUNILOR REZIDUALE ASUPRA FLAMBAJULUI BARELOR SUDATE
Details are given of a theoretical study of the influence of different distributions of residual stresses caused by welding on the critical buckling behaviour of welded double t bars. Results are also presented of an experimental study carried out on short welded bars subjected to simple compression, which shows the evolution in early plastic deformations in the flanges by means of photo-elastic methods. /TRRL/
