IMPERVIOUSNESS OF STRUCTURES BY MEANS OF INJECTIONS
L'ETANCHEMENT DES STRUCTURES D'OUVRAGES PAR INJECTIONS
This article deals with the use of injections to make structures (reservoirs, tanks, shaft lining, underground structures or immersed structures) impervious to water. After defining the different types of injection, the author recalls that they can be utilized in new and existing structures made from masonry, reinforced or prestressed concrete. The principles, on which the treatment is based, are outlined, and attention is drawn to the fact that this treatment is a difficult operation to carry out, therefore only firms with wide experience should be employed in the task. /TRRL/
