DETAIL DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE USE OF A MARATHON LETOURNEAU 116C JACKUP AS A SHIPPING TERMINAL
The objective of this study was to investigate the feasibility of using the Marathon LeTourneau 116C jackup drilling rig as the primary crane platform for a flexible initial response shipping terminal (FIRST). The report deals mainly with the general layout of the FIRST system, crane selection, variable load capacity of the individual jackups, design of the mooring system, estimated costs, and projected installation schedules.
