THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HALOGEN LAMP FOR VEHICLE LIGHTING
DIE BEDEUTUNG DER HALOGENLAMPE FUER DIE FAHRZEUGEIGENE BELEUCHTUNG
Visibility distances, perceptibility of defects within the visibility distances, total lighting and switching contrasts are used to evaluate the properties of dipped halogen lamps. Improvements are possible through correct choice of the size of the headlamp and through the introduction of apparatus to control distance illuminated and equipment for cleaning scatter discs. Possible ways of introducing polarized light are discussed. A new system of polarization is described. /TRRL/
