A BUDGETING SYSTEM FOR SHIPPING COMPANIES

The main objectives of this system include: (1) obtain an economic view of the activity planned, (2) allow systematic trials and updating of a variety of factors, (3) allow delegation of tasks, responsibility and authority, and (4) bring about effective budgeting and follow-up work. The system will be available in both manual and computerized forms, and this article examines the main lines of the manual system, while at the same time sketching out the scope of the computer system.
