GAS TURBINE WATERJETS POWER 750-PASSENGER FERRY
A description of a gas turbine powered ferryboat is presented. The selection of a gas turbine power plant over a diesel engine of the same power output is discussed, with advantages of the gas turbine given. The ferry is propelled by a waterjet instead of a regular propeller, and reasons for this are also explained.
